FULL RELEASE DAY!

In 1997, a videogame was released that caused establishment scandal and media hysteria around the world. Banned in some countries, censored in others, and even condemned by a Pope, overnight it became the poster child for everything that’s wrong in society… and therefore right in a videogame.

The game was CARMAGEDDON. For a generation of gamers coming to the end of a decade of 2D, wireframe, and corridor combat, it was an awesome introduction to the concept of the “real” 3D open world, do-whatever-the-feck-you-like, chuck-out-the-rulebook-and-just-BE-STUPID gameplay. And in doing so it also introduced the gaming world to the whole concept of realistic physics and real-time dynamic damage. What’s more, it was the FUNNIEST GAME EVER.

And now, Stainless Games is proud to announce the FULL RELEASE of the latest ground-breaking game in the series. Yes, Carmageddon: Reincarnation is HERE. And with it comes everything that was great about the original Carmageddon, plus MORE! MORE carnage! MORE LOLZ! MOAR GRANNIES! It’s got Career, Freeplay and Multiplayer modes plus CarMODgeddon modding support.

It’s the latter-day high-octane car smashing ped mashing antidote to racing games, and it’s available on the Steam Store TODAY!

So what have we done to update the game that was not only one of the most controversial titles of its day, but also the most innovative and technically advanced of its generation? Well controversy is pretty hard to whip up these days, but we are still proudly offering you the chance to turn PEDESTRIANS into POINTS (which continues to get certain sections of society hot under the collar) using your car or a whole host of hilarious ped pulping POWERUPS! And we continue to be boldly innovative and technically bloody clever – our CAR CRUSHING CODE continues to be the envy of anything else out there. Plus it’s all more HILARIOUS than ever!

All this means that what you get is a Carmageddon fit for the 21st Century, tuned for today’s fun-seeking bloodthirsty adrenaline junkie game fans… Just get a load of THIS:

Carmageddon: Reincarnation’s got a Career Mode with 50 events over 9 wildly varied levels, 6 game modes, 24 custom killing machines, nearly 100 warped out PowerUps and a huge menagerie of innocent peds. There’s 6 player Multiplayer mode, Freeplay and CarMODgeddon modding mode. PLUS – Smelly Bush collectibles, Upgrade Tokens, Achievements and Leaderboards!

So head on over to the Steam Store, GET THE GAME, and show us the power of your “Wrecked Em” in the killing fields of Carmageddon!

Carmageddon: Reincarnation - Celebrating 18 years of Cunning Stunts and Granny Mangling.

Oh, and P.S… The Pope who condemned Carmageddon back in 1997 was Greg Pope, Member of Parliament for Hyndburn, Lancs (1992 to 2010). Cheers for the priceless front page headline, Mr. Pope!

The game released officially but i still cannot play it. I've waited for a new carmageddon game for years but due to low performance i'm getting i cannot play it. The graphics are not all that realistic and astonishing for a game that is made in 2015 and i'd expected that i'd play the game without much of a problem at lowest settings at least but i get so low framerates. Game gets frozen from time to time during play. Loading screens take forever. All these mean that the game is poorly optimized. I've been waiting for this game for years, i've paid for it, a good amount considering i am a student, and all that money seems to gone wasted. I cannot enjoy this game i've always wanted.

So, Stainless do you intend to make some optimization improvements? I'd love to play this game :/

"Stainless Games is proud to announce the FULL RELEASE of the latest ground-breaking game in the series". Ummmmm, "ground-breaking"? Do they really believe that? Ô.o

"our CAR CRUSHING CODE continues to be the envy of anything else out there". Yeeeeeeah, uhhhhh, I, kinda, don't, really think any game out there will be envious of anything about C:R. Sorry. :/

"All this means that what you get is a Carmageddon fit for the 21st Century, tuned for today’s fun-seeking bloodthirsty adrenaline junkie game fans…". My mind is more mangled than a Bugga squished between The Plow & a hard place. What part of the 21st century is that? Tuned for which game fans? Oh that's right, fit for about the year 2005 & tuned for the few game fans out there with top of the line ubercomputers.

So yeah, thanks for all that there, guys. :|

Since the Full release I did not really see what is new about this game. Career mode is still as it was before and the amound of cars to. This way I can never unluck 25 cars. It only goes to 24 . :( pitty. It is a nice game and all, but it feels like for me they did not gave us what they promised or talked about. Hope the game will be fully done in the next update.

1) 2 more cars. (King Merc and Project X)
2) Carmodgeddon where even the nitwitz like me can mod a car/racer and maybe even a map.
3) less important; add my own music to the background of the game.
