I only now see this topic first time. Good progress and persistence 303. I'm glad you are using the tools and that they are working for you. :)

Importing game models using the tools should indeed produce seams in the model because of the double vertices. Like trent said:

Quote:
In games each vertex can only have one location in the UV map, so the only way to handle UV splits is to have two vertices instead of one.

This is my understanding also. The game handles vertices and texture mapping vertices differently then max. I could re-write the importer to do an 'automatic welding' on these vertices, but the thing is: it will still look different ingame if you re-export.

You said converting to editable mesh before export helped you in this case? Are you sure, because it really shouldn't make a difference. The exporter makes a temporary mesh snapshot of each model, so it basically does it for you. I will still investigate what you said though.

And yes, doing reset x-forms is an important step before exporting models.

Like I said on the other board, if you have any other questions just let me know.

Not it's not the wrong thread. And the link to download Scorpion is on the first page: http://www.carmageddon.com/comment/67045#comment-67045. Read and search before posting.

Well; I apologize for getting excited about the release, and actually appreciating his effort...
