A Lego conversion of c2 would be cool, tosh made a lego version of the eagle which was brilliant.
If you guys really want to build some Virtual LEGO Carma cars stop screwing around with LDD and download MLCAD. You can use any part every created and make them any color you like even if that part never came in that color.
If I can find the time I will try my hand at some real LEGO Carma cars.
I honestly dont have the time to learn mlcad.... also the last ldd has quite a few pieces and the a bility to give them any color in the lego spectrum so i will stick with it untill im bored.
Keep it going ZalD. From my experiences more limits = more creativity, no need for mlcad.
To each his own, I just offered up an alternative to LDD. Some people actually find it more difficult to use. MLCad offers more options for creating, and not just with the expanded parts list. It will also let you create building instructions if you wanted to share with others. You can also use different building techniques which LDD can't replicate.
Back in 1998 inspired by Carmageddon 2 I converted all my LEGO to cars and began to crush'em to each other (my little brother helped me a lot in crushing part). That was fun. The main idea was to make a car containing a lot of small pieces in order to make realistic damage on collisions. I decided to make my own cars but not official ones (partially because I had small number of bricks in my collection). I made 7-9 cars back then.
It has really big wheels compared to minifigures (81.6 mm in diameter, while the height of minifigure is 40 mm). But now when I built it I don't really know if I want to demount it in order to build something else. Because it's awesome and can eat pedestrians.
Also I made a model and a render of one of my cars using LDD, POV-Ray, LDD to POV-Ray and Photoshop:
big version: http://i068.radikal.ru/1212/42/de06a96bb497.png
Celestial Sledge - 145 bricks. The most tough car in the line.
made another view:
love these models... i should do something with my actual legos
I need to get back into my LDD. messed around for 5 mins and came up with an almost exact replica of a vehicle I made years ago.
It still exists, but it's packed away with my other Lego.
I will post more when I get the time.
ZalDcaze, thanks, glad you like them.
Made second car model and render:
"Doublekill" - 146 bricks. The most fragile car in the line.
Dude seriusly how long did rendering take? mabye its my bad PC but this small tiney picture took about 8 hours,
allso your double kill thing was such a weird and unusual veichle with that Huge overhang over the wheels, that I couldent help quickly patching something togeather... tho I forgot the spare wheel aparently.
EDIT: Picture changed and updated now all those things I forgot are now on. the mirrors. and exhausts, spare tire, and those kinda details.
Tho with how it looks I think it needs a more justified name than doublekill something that would make Mr Econo proud.. like
The Canni Balcrosta!
An item from the past thats now in the future!?
